Rosie Rose is a Chichester-based independent shop specialising in clothing, homewares, furniture and gifts. In this Client Feature, we speak to them about the impact the pandemic has had on their business as well as their goals for the future.
Tell us a little bit about Rosie Rose:
Rosie Rose is an independent female fashion and home interiors store. We opened in February 2020 just weeks before the first lockdown. We have a passion for beautifully feminine single-size clothing as well as unique, eclectic furniture, homewares, and gifts.
We want to establish Rosie Rose as your go-to store for a warm and welcoming mooch where you are guaranteed to find something new and original for your home or wardrobe that brings you joy.
What do you love about being based in Chichester?
We love being located in the heart of Chichester’s city centre. It’s a busy city centre with lots of fantastic local businesses, cafes, restaurants and places of interest.
We are also spoilt by the city’s incredible history and heritage and we never get tired of looking at the stunning Cathedral and the beautiful Bishops Palace Gardens close. Most of all Chichester is a super friendly place to live and work. It’s so easy to park, walk in and get everything you need.
What’s more you will almost always see a familiar, friendly face while you’re out.
What have been some of your biggest challenges during the global pandemic?
As a business, we have been closed more than we have been open over the last 18 months. With government support and a big push with our online presence, we have managed to keep our heads above water.
We are grateful to be back open and we look forward to all restrictions being lifted so we can create more of an in-store experience for our customers.
Do you have any future goals for the business or things you are looking forward to as life returns to normal?
We want to explore lots of in-store collaborations with other local independent businesses, particularly in the run-up to Christmas. Working together is powerful and we are all in this together. We are also planning on building on the online presence we established with capsule fashion collections which will be available exclusively online.
Our presence on the online shopping platform Etsy is going well and we will continue to add more lines to this throughout the year.
How have Blue Spire helped you with your business:
