What does your job as Receptionist/Administrator involve?
I am the first point of contact in the Chichester Office.
I am responsible for administrative tasks on behalf of the Directors, answering emails and calls to clients, and any other ad-hoc admin tasks for the team in the office.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
I travel in from Selsey in the morning, and when I arrive at the office, I make a nice decaf coffee to start my day.
I start by checking my phone messages/emails and dealing with any enquiries that have come in.
My daily tasks include forwarding on mail to clients, greeting visitors and providing refreshments for meetings, banking, engagement letters, archiving and filing.
Every day is different at Blue Spire, which I really enjoy about my role as Receptionist/Administrator.
What sort of challenges do you face?
As we are a hybrid working office, sometimes it can be challenging knowing which staff members are in on which days, but everybody is pretty good at keeping me in the loop so I know where everyone is on different days.
We have worked in partnership with Blue Spire for the last three years and one of the joys of picking up the phone each time for our weekly queries is knowing that the Receptionist, Pia will answer the phone.
Her phone manner is exemplary and looks after everyone as an individual never just another phone call. Pia is engaging and personable whenever you call the office, her efforts are highly appreciated by Team Futures.
